COME is a nonprofit Christian organization dedicated to fulfilling Christ’s Great Commission by equipping churches with biblical worship training. Our mission is to help believers deepen their understanding of God’s Word and respond to Him in worship that is both personal and corporate, rooted in Scripture and expressed through sacred music.
Our training encompasses two essential components:
- Bible Study Training – A thorough study of Scripture to cultivate a biblical foundation for worship and Christian living.
- Church Sacred Music – Teaching believers how to respond to God’s Word through music, with training in music theory, hymnology, worship practices, and instrumental and vocal instruction, including organ, piano, and voice lessons.
At the heart of worship is a recognition of who God is. Revelation 4:11 declares, “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.” Because God is the Creator of all things, He alone is worthy of our highest praise. Worship is not simply an act of devotion; it is the rightful response to God’s majesty and holiness. As Franklin Segler affirms, “worship used for any purpose other than God’s glory is not true worship.”
True worship begins in the heart, shaping our thoughts, words, and actions. While worship is deeply personal, it is also a corporate experience that unites the body of Christ. Scripture commands us to gather regularly as believers, encouraging one another and exalting God together (Hebrews 10:24-25). Throughout history, God’s people have experienced His presence in the midst of corporate praise, as seen when the Israelites worshiped together and witnessed His glory (2 Chronicles 7:1-3). In the
same way, when we join in worship today, we are reminded that we do not walk this faith journey alone. Our voices, lifted in unity, foreshadow the heavenly worship that awaits us.
Because God is holy, our worship must reflect reverence, excellence, and order (1 Corinthians 14:40). He is worthy of our best, and as His worshipers, we must diligently refine the gifts He has given us for His glory. This includes singing songs that declare His truth, magnify His attributes, and recount His mighty acts. Our God is infinite in majesty and beyond full comprehension, and our worship should seek to reflect the depth, complexity, and beauty of who He is.
At COME, we are committed to providing resources that will encourage and equip believers in their pursuit of worshiping God in spirit and in truth. May our lives and our music continually proclaim the glory of our great and holy God.
“For from Him and through Him and for Him are all things. To Him be glory
forever. Amen.”
